The Jaspi rootstock is a vegetative rootstock undergoing testing for use in commercial pomology. Its primary purpose is the regulation of vigor in grafted plum trees.
Studies in Polish climatic conditions have revealed insufficient resistance of this rootstock to low temperatures. Specifically, following severe winters, bark damage in the lower part of the trunk was recorded, as well as general health issues in trees grafted onto it.
