ALAB1 (Alab 1) is a promising clonal rootstock for stone fruit crops developed at the Crimean Experimental Breeding Station. It is used in breeding programs to develop adaptive black apricot hybrids and is not a fruit variety for yield production.
The name Purple Apricot in foreign publications is assigned to a variety of industrial cannabis possessing an aroma of apricot and lavender. This name has no relation to the genus Prunus (apricot, plum) in the context of the indicated variety.
