The GiSelA®17 rootstock provides tree vigor 20–30% lower than that of the standard F12/1 rootstock. It promotes early bearing and ensures good yield and fruit quality, while having a low risk of overcropping, which is important for self-fertile varieties.
It possesses tolerance to PDV and PNRSV viruses, demonstrates good adaptation to various soil and climatic conditions, and high drought tolerance. It is noted for its stability and is suitable for use on sites where stone fruit crops have previously been grown.
