The variety is a rare garden hybrid of the genus Rehmannia. It originated from sowing seeds of the Tigerschlund plant form, and one of the resulting forms with flowers changing in shade from lemon-yellow to champagne became the basis for the variety.
In plant taxonomy, there are difficulties in defining the species Rehmannia elata and Rehmannia piasezkii, which are often considered synonyms. Because of this, the designation of the hybrid in literature may be taxonomically inaccurate. The crop has a purely ornamental purpose.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
