The Columba variety belongs to the epiphytic cactus group Rhipsalidopsis and is grown as an ornamental houseplant intended for spring flowering.
The plant is actively used in breeding work as a parental form for developing new hybrids. In particular, the variety was used in crosses to obtain such forms as Easter Song, Cecilia B. Viray, and Elaine V. Fruithof, as well as in hybridization attempts with representatives of the genus Hatiora.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
