The plant forms thin cylindrical segmented shoots capable of reaching 20 to 70 centimeters in length. The growth type is primarily ampelous or semi-erect, making this cactus suitable for cultivation in hanging planters.
Flowering occurs in the spring-summer period from April to June with small white radial flowers. The plant requires diffused lighting and good drainage, as it is sensitive to excessive moisture, which causes root rots.
