The plant forms dense clumps with robust rhizomes. Height ranges from 50 to 120 cm depending on growing conditions and the presence of flower stalks. In spring, young leaves have a saturated chocolate-brown or purple-bronze hue, in summer they become bronze-green or emerald, and in autumn they again acquire a chocolate or brownish cast. Flowers are pale pink with a dark center upon opening, gradually darkening to a red-burgundy color; flowering occurs in June-July.
The variety belongs to hardiness zone 5 and withstands temperatures down to –23...–28 °C; it is resistant to diseases, however, it is sensitive to spring recurrent frosts. It prefers partial shade or shade, wind-protected locations, and fertile, humus-rich, moist soils; it poorly tolerates drought. It is used in landscape design for edging water bodies, plantings in the understory, and creating accent groups in shade flower beds.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
