The plant reaches 80–120 cm in height and has dark green glossy foliage. Flowers are large, double, cupped or high-centered, containing from 26 to 85 petals. The color is deep, dark red, sometimes with black shades.

The variety blooms abundantly from May until frost; flowers often bloom singly on strong stems. It has good disease resistance and high vase life, maintaining freshness for 10–14 days. The fragrance is described as light, rose-fruity, or absent.
