Flowers of the Ausneil variety are characterized by the absence of a pink hue. Compared to a number of other varieties, such as Patience or Keira, the plant has a relatively smaller number of petals and stamens.

The variety is considered in the context of breeding roses intended for cut flowers. In documentation, the variety is often used as a comparative base for describing other new rose varieties due to its distinctive morphological traits.
