The classic variety Baccara belongs to the Hybrid Tea roses. Its dark red double flowers have a chalice shape and reach 8–9 cm in diameter. The plant is a compact bush up to 90 cm tall with upright stems and leathery dark green foliage. The variety is intended primarily for greenhouses due to low winter hardiness.

The variety Black Baccara also belongs to the Hybrid Tea group. Its flowers are distinguished by a dark burgundy, almost black shade, the intensity of which changes depending on air temperature and soil acidity. The bush reaches 80–120 cm in height, has upright stems with a small number of thorns and dark green foliage with a reddish sheen. The variety has medium resistance to diseases and precipitation.
