The variety belongs to the Modern Shrub group and is considered a hybrid of Rosa rugosa with the possible involvement of Rosa mariae and Rosa graebnerae. The upright spreading bush reaches a height of 0.5 to 1.2 m.

The flowers are single, cup-shaped, 6–7 cm in diameter, consisting of 4–8 petals. The color is scarlet when opening, later transitioning to a fuchsia or purple color with yellow stamens in the center. The leaves are large, pinnate, glossy, light or medium green, and turn orange-yellow in autumn.

The plant produces orange-red fruits that ripen by autumn. Flowering is abundant in the first half of summer with the possibility of repeat waves until October. The variety is resistant to wind, road salt, tolerates light conditions from sun to partial shade, and complex soils.
