The plant forms a compact, upright, branching bush 75–120 cm high and 75–100 cm wide. The foliage is large, ranging from pale green to dark green, sometimes with a bronze tint.
Flowers with a diameter of 8–12 cm have a double, cup-shaped form and a golden-yellow hue, fading at the edges to cream or white. The variety blooms repeatedly in waves from June to October, emitting a strong fragrance with notes of tea rose, apple, and clove.
The variety has moderate resistance to powdery mildew, black spot, and rain; USDA hardiness zone 5–6. It is a seedling of the variety Graham Thomas, from which it differs by a more compact habit and less intense petal coloration.
