The Delego variety, also known by the commercial name Belle Rouge, is a hybrid tea rose. This variety became widely known in breeding circles as the genetic predecessor of the popular Red Intuition rose, which appeared as a result of a spontaneous bud mutation.
Morphologically, the variety differs from its descendant by the solid dark red color of the petals, which lack stripes. The rose was created as a cut flower variety for decorative purposes and protected cultivation.
