The variety Valiant Heart (synonym Abendglut) belongs to the floribunda group and is suitable for group plantings and cut flowers. The plant forms a compact branching bush 60 to 100 cm tall.

The flowers are dark red, semi-double, containing 15–25 petals. The fragrance is weak or absent. The plant's foliage is dark and glossy.

The variety possesses winter hardiness and prolonged flowering. Cut flowers maintain their decorative quality in a vase for up to 10 days. This variety does not bear fruit.
