The Poulnana variety, also known by the commercial name Swift Cover, belongs to the shrub rose group. The plant forms a wide, dense bush 60 to 100 cm in height. The foliage is dark and glossy.

The flowers are white or nearly white, double, containing from 25 to 50 petals with a diameter of 5–8 cm. The fragrance resembles that of a wild rose. The flower longevity is up to 10 days. The variety possesses winter hardiness and does not set fruit.
