The Poultop variety is a compact dense bush 20 to 50 cm in height with uniform branching. The plant has dark green glossy foliage and double flowers of orange-red color 6–8 cm in size.

The plant is repeat-flowering; blooming continues from late spring until frost. The variety is self-cleaning and possesses resistance to diseases such as rust and powdery mildew. It is intended for growing in containers, bordering and the foreground of flower beds; it is not used for cutting.
