The Predepass variety serves as a control sample for comparison in official plant breeding documentation. It is used as a standard for describing specific morphological traits; in particular, it is an example for characterizing flower color as red-purple.

The variety is also cited as an example for describing the trait of a strong degree of undulation of the leaflet margin in roses. There is no data in open sources regarding commercial characteristics, plant height, disease resistance, or agrotechnical recommendations for widespread cultivation.
