The variety «07Rubixp01», also known as «IP-1», is a hybrid adapted to the conditions of a warm and humid climate. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and the presence of small thorns on the stems. The morphological traits of leaves, flowers, and fruits occupy an intermediate position between the parental species.
The fruits of the variety are larger than those of the parental forms. They are distinguished by an increased sugar-to-acid ratio, as well as an ellagitannin content exceeding the values of the «Indian Summer» variety by four times. At the same time, the variety showed difficulties with proper fruit formation due to the presence of large drupelets, which required further breeding work.
