The miniature Saintpaulia bred by Holtkamp is intended for cultivation in pots with a diameter of 5 cm. The plant is characterized by single red flowers and dark green foliage, and is positioned as an ornamental indoor plant.

The standard Saintpaulia chimera Keiko (bred by Eyerdom, Granger Gardens) is a sport of the Kilauea variety. It is distinguished by pink flowers with a blue fantasy stripe.
