Variety description

A miniature slow-growing shrub reaching a height of 40–50 cm, growing to 75–100 cm in 10 years. The plant is often offered in standard form, grafted onto high rootstock.
Leaves are broad-lanceolate or ovate, dark green, 2–2.5 cm long, turning yellow in autumn. In March–April, the willow blooms with catkins of a characteristic red or red-violet hue.
The variety is winter hardy and adapts well to most soil types provided there is sufficient drainage. Intended exclusively for decorative landscaping, container cultivation, and the creation of landscape compositions.
