Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Salix schwerinii and Salix viminalis. Externally, it is characterized by dark brown or black shoots with slight waviness at the base. The leaves are dark green, lanceolate in shape, 16–20 cm long and 2.5–3.5 cm wide, with wavy margins and a grey-green underside. In the first year of growth, shoot height can reach 4 meters, and the variety is distinguished by early leaf fall by the end of October.

The plant possesses high productivity, especially in the second rotation, and is characterized by an increased calorific value of the biomass. The variety shows low susceptibility to rust with moderate vulnerability to leaf beetles. It adapts well to moist lowland conditions and cultivation at high altitudes, however, it is sensitive to saline soils.
