The plant possesses vigorous growth and the ability for abundant branching. Stems and peduncles have a characteristic dark, purple-brown color. Flowers of a deep purple-pink shade are gathered in dense upright inflorescences, the calyces of which are also colored purple. The height of the bush is approximately 30–45 cm.
The variety is distinguished by a long flowering period from late spring to early autumn. The plant is resistant to heat and drought conditions, and is not damaged by deer and rabbits. It requires well-drained soils for normal development; it may lodge with a lack of light or excessive fertilization.
