The SAVZ0001 variety, also known by the commercial name "Cuzco Compact Improved" or "Cuzco", is an annual plant with a compact and spreading growth habit. The height of the bushes is usually 15–20 cm, the plant forms dense mats.

Flowering is abundant and prolonged, lasting from early summer to October. The flowers are characteristic of the species: yellow petals surround a dark, brown or purple-brown center. The variety is light-loving, heat-loving and resistant to short-term drought; it prefers well-drained soils.

The plant is used as a groundcover crop for landscaping flower beds, borders and edgings, and is also suitable for growing in containers, balcony boxes and hanging baskets.
