The variety belongs to the genus Sanvitalia, although in a number of sources it is mistakenly called creeping zinnia due to the external resemblance of the inflorescences. The plant is characterized by a compact habit and dark foliage coloration, which were stated as the key morphological features.

The variety was intended for use as an ornamental plant for decorating flower beds, balconies, and container gardening. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety are absent in open reference books due to the fact that it did not undergo full registration as a unique one.
