The object LO 49 N is an inbred rye line used by breeders as intermediate material for the creation of hybrids. The name Wilde Peer, often mentioned in the context of this work, belongs to a plant breeder and is not a variety name.
This line is part of the formulas for winter rye hybrid varieties such as Fernando, Picasso, and Bonapart. Economic characteristics, including yield and resistance indices, refer directly to these commercial hybrids, not to the breeding line itself.
