The plant forms robust rosettes up to 60 cm in diameter, which acquire a conical shape with age and produce lateral shoots. The leaves are thick, glossy, and dark purple with veins; in winter, the center of the rosette may become bright green.
The variety possesses high growth vigor. It exhibits frost resistance down to -5 °C, is drought-tolerant, and requires good drainage and a sunny or semi-shaded location. It is well-suited for cultivation in containers, on terraces, and in rock gardens.
