The variety is characterized by a tendency toward late flowering and reaches a height of 80–120 cm during the flowering period. Resistance to lodging is rated as low to medium. The plant is distinguished by intensive biomass formation in the initial growth phase and a well-developed root system that contributes to soil loosening. The variety does not possess resistance to the beet cyst nematode.

Litember is used as a green manure crop to improve soil structure, suppress weeds, and accumulate nutrients. Due to crop density and the ability to create cover, the variety is also used in specialized mixtures for wild animals. In scientific research, the variety serves as a model object for studying erucic acid content in seeds.
