The Ampel RZ F1 hybrid (article 73-612 RZ) is a vigorous indeterminate plant with a powerful root system. Despite the name, the variety is not an ampelous type and belongs to the large-fruited beef tomato group.

The fruits have a flat-round shape, bright red color and a weight of 160 to 220 grams. The tomatoes are characterized by firmness, good keeping quality, and fruit setting under unfavorable temperature conditions and insufficient light.

The plant has high resistance to tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, and leaf mold. Intermediate resistance is noted for tomato spotted wilt virus and root-knot nematodes. The hybrid is intended for sale on the fresh produce market.
