The rootstock provides a vigorous root system, promoting efficient nutrient uptake and increasing the overall resistance of the grafted crop. The plant is characterized by good seed germination, seedling uniformity, and optimal stem thickness, which facilitates the grafting process.

It possesses complex resistance to a range of soil-borne pathogens and viruses, including Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV: 0-2), Fusarium wilt (Fol: 0-1, For), Verticillium wilt (Va: 0, Vd: 0), and nematodes (Ma, Mi, Mj). The rootstock is not characterized by maturity indicators or fruit taste qualities.
