Variety description

10 August 2026

Plants of this hybrid form bright red fruits of the «San Marzano» or «Saladette» type. Due to the dense structure and small number of seeds, the variety is optimally suited for processing, in particular for preparing sauces, pastes, ketchups, and canning.

The hybrid possesses good disease resistance. When searching for information, it is important to note that the name «Astro» is also widely used for a variety of arugula (Eruca sativa), therefore one should pay attention to the Latin species name on the seed packaging.
