The variety (or breeding line) Bela was created by Bulgarian breeders, in particular, Hristo Georgiev. In scientific literature, it is considered primarily as breeding material for hybridization.
This line is used in scientific research as a parental form in crosses to study heterosis and fruit seed productivity indices. In comparative trials, the resistance of this material to pathogen infection was noted.
