The variety is a local Greek heirloom from the Messenia region. The indeterminate plant forms beefsteak-type fruits with a flattened, ribbed shape, with an average weight ranging from 85 to 280 grams. The fruits are fleshy and juicy; under unfavorable conditions, hollow seed cavities are possible.
The variety is mid-season and characterized by a relatively high yield. The plant is susceptible to fungal infections Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici and Rhizoctonia solani. It is sensitive to high humidity and precipitation, which can negatively affect fruit set.
