The Dragon variety of Russian breeding is a mid-early plant with a height of 40–50 cm. The fruits are firm, plum-shaped, weighing 70–80 g, and are suitable for pickling and fresh consumption. The yield is up to 6 kg per bush, and the fruits feature a shelf life of up to 2 months.

The category of tomatoes named "Dragon" also includes foreign varieties: "Black Dragon" — a mid-early indeterminate variety with orange-brown fruits; "Yellow Dragon" — a mid-season beefsteak-type variety with fruits weighing 80–150 g; "Purple Dragon" — a tall variety with an increased content of anthocyanins in the fruits.
