The plant has moderate vigor, short internodes, and good foliage. Fruits are formed in fish-bone type clusters of 6–8 pieces, are intended for sale on the fresh market, and are often grown as vine tomatoes.
The hybrid is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, fusarium wilt (races F1, F2), and verticillium wilt, but is susceptible to tomato yellow leaf curl virus. Due to its characteristics, it is often used in scientific research as a model variety.
