The plant is of the indeterminate type with vigorous growth while maintaining relative compactness. The fruits are characterized by pronounced ribbing, typical of Italian Oxheart-type tomatoes, and good uniformity.
The variety has high resistance to Tomato mosaic virus, Tomato spotted wilt virus, Cladosporium, Fusarium wilt and root rot, and Verticillium wilt. Medium resistance to root-knot nematodes has also been noted.
Etnico tomato stands out as a specific ecotype, distinct from other Italian varieties. The fruits are intended for fresh consumption and culinary use; the variety is adapted to various climatic conditions.
