The variety is extra early; under favorable conditions, fruits can ripen in June. The tomatoes are red, have a slightly ribbed shape, tender skin, and a balanced taste with a typical tomato profile.
Plants are characterized by high yield and are suitable for open field cultivation, as they manage to produce a crop before the peak spread of late blight, although light cover is recommended. When growing, it is recommended to follow a 50×50 cm planting pattern.
The fruits are intended for fresh consumption and are also suitable for making sauces and salsa. The variety has more than a 50-year history; the name «Öhrli» is an adaptation of the English word «early».
