The variety is mid-season, with a vegetation period of 100–120 days. Plants are of the determinate type, compact, 60–100 cm in height. Strong stems usually do not require mandatory staking; the variety adapts well to heat, drought, and temperature fluctuations.
Fruits are plum-shaped, firm, with thick walls and a weight of 80–140 grams. The variety has resistance to Verticillium wilt (race 1) and Fusarium wilt (races 1, 2). The produce is characterized by good keeping quality, resistance to cracking, and suitability for mechanical harvesting.
Grande is a multipurpose variety suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and industrial processing. It is not a hybrid, therefore it is suitable for seed saving.
