Lancaster (Lancaster HF1/F1) tomato belongs to the cluster type. Red fruits with a glossy surface form in clusters of 5. The average weight of one fruit is 140–160 grams. The fruits are of the jointless type, which means there is no joint on the peduncle, simplifying the harvesting process.

The variety is intended for cultivation in protected ground, including heated and unheated greenhouses, as well as soil-less cultivation methods. It possesses high resistance (HR) to tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), verticillium and fusarium wilt, fusarium root rot, and leaf mold, as well as intermediate resistance (IR) to powdery mildew.
