The plant is indeterminate, reaching a height of 120 to 180 cm. The variety is mid-season, with a ripening period of 85 to 120 days.

The fruits have an elongated plum shape, sometimes with a characteristic tip, reaching a length of 10–12 cm and a weight of 70–120 g. The flesh is dense and meaty, contains a small amount of seeds, and has a distinct, sweet taste with low acidity.

The variety originates from the Sarno River valley in Italy. It is considered the benchmark for whole-peeled canning, the production of tomato pastes and sauces, and sun-drying.
