The hybrid is intended for cultivation in professional protected ground on trellises. The plant is characterized as strong and easy to maintain. The fruits have a shiny red color and may show a slight green tint near the stalk upon harvest.
The variety possesses high resistance to Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV), Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV:0–2), and Fusarium wilt (FOL:0). Intermediate resistance to root-knot nematodes (Ma, Mi, Mj) is also noted.
Maxxiany XR is a version of the Maxxiany variety, modified by backcrossing to provide protection against ToBRFV, while maintaining 99.9% identity of the original hybrid's characteristics.
