The name Ralstor is officially registered in the European Union common catalogue of varieties of agricultural plant species as a tomato. In open sources, the variety is identified primarily as the Ralstor F1 rootstock, intended for use in breeding purposes.

This rootstock is characterized by resistance to bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia, as well as to a number of other diseases, including tomato mosaic viruses. Its application is aimed at increasing the vigor and improving the overall quality characteristics of the fruits of grafted plants.
