The variety is a family heirloom from the state of Kentucky. The indeterminate plant requires training into one or two stems, mandatory suckering, and sturdy staking. In greenhouse conditions, the height of the bush exceeds 2 meters; in open field, it reaches 1.5–1.6 meters.
The fruits have a round-heart or flat-round shape with pronounced ribbing at the stem. The weight of the tomatoes averages 400–600 g, but can reach 1–1.5 kg. The flesh is juicy, sweet, with an intense aroma. The variety possesses drought tolerance and a yield of over 5 kg per plant. Intended primarily for fresh consumption, also suitable for processing.
There is a rare variant of the variety with yellow fruits, which possesses similar growth and large-fruited characteristics.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
