The variety is used in professional vegetable growing as a rootstock base that promotes the development of a strong root system. It is not intended for cultivation for the purpose of obtaining edible fruit.

The plant possesses resistance to Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, Tomato mosaic virus, and certain species of nematodes. By its genetic nature, it is an interspecific hybrid created to increase the adaptation of grafted plants to soil salinity and other adverse factors.
