The variety is an heirloom with a ripening period of 75 to 90 days after transplanting. The plant is of the indeterminate growth type, requiring staking and pruning, although in some cases it is described as semi-determinate.
The fruits are large, golden-yellow in color, and have a pronounced ribbed shape resembling an accordion. Inside, the tomatoes are often semi-hollow, which determines their primary culinary use as fruits for stuffing. The taste is sweet with slight acidity and fruity notes.
