Gnom Serdtse Scarlet is a mid-season determinate variety with a compact bush 60–100 cm tall and rugose foliage. The heart-shaped fruits with a tip, weighing 100–250 g, have a deep scarlet-red color and a sweet taste. The plant is undemanding, does not require mandatory suckering, and is suitable for open field and greenhouses.

Gnom Sladkaya Scarlet is distinguished by a determinate growth type of about 1 meter and a potato-type leaf. Its large oblate fruits, weighing 200–500 g, possess a bright red color and buttery flesh.

There are other varieties under the name Scarlet: the hybrid Scarlet F1 with heart-shaped fruits, the potted miniature variety Sweet ’n’ Neat Scarlet with 10–25 g fruits, the bicolor Scarlet Sunrise, and the indeterminate variety Scarlet Mustang.
