The variety is an heirloom known since 1937. The fruit color is due to a genetic mutation that promotes the accumulation of tetra-cis-lycopene. The plant is of the indeterminate type, features vigorous growth, and is considered mid-season, maturing in 75–80 days.

The fruits are bright orange or yellow-orange in color, with a round or slightly elongated shape. Their weight ranges from 180 to 400 grams; the flesh is juicy and fleshy, and the skin is thin. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, and the fruits have good keeping quality after harvest, lasting up to two weeks.
