The historical variety Turner’s Hybrid, also known as Mikado, is an indeterminate plant with potato-leaf foliage. It produces large raspberry-red fruits for table use.

Modern amateur forms encountered under the name Turner include variants with red dense fruits with varying flavor. There is also a variety derived from a hybrid with raspberry fruits weighing 130–200 g, characterized by low maintenance and disease resistance.
