The Vitamina variety, also known as line L 548, was obtained through individual selection from local heirloom populations. The plant belongs to the indeterminate growth type.
Fruits have a round, slightly ribbed shape and yellow color with an orange hue. The U gene is present, which causes the presence of a light green spot at the peduncle in the immature state, and the SGLK2 gene complex, which influences organoleptic properties. The variety contains the mi gene, which provides resistance to nematodes.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
