The Yaiza hybrid belongs to the professional breeding materials mentioned in documentation from the late 1980s and 1990s. This material was used in breeding programs as a commercial hybrid.

A genetic feature of the hybrid is the presence of the parent line ATV847, which carries the Tm-2² resistance gene, providing plant protection against tobacco mosaic virus infection.
