The Black Gem F1 hybrid belongs to the semi-long eggplant variety type and has a ripening period of 75 to 80 days. The plant of the generative development type exhibits increased resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to gray mold.
The fruits have a regular shape, black glossy color, and a dense structure, ensuring good keeping quality. A feature of the variety is the absence of thorns on the calyx, which facilitates harvesting.
The hybrid is intended for professional cultivation in protected and open ground. In high-tech greenhouses, the use of tomato rootstock is recommended when growing this variety.
